Representatives of each member department were accounted for: Allgood, Bangor, Blount Cnty RS, Blountsville, Dallas/Selfville, Holly Springs, Locust Fork, Mount High, Murphree Valley, Nectar, Oneonta, Pine Mountain, Remlap, Ricetown, Rosa, Royal, Snead, Straight Mountain, Susan Moore, West Blount.

Member Departments not present: Brooksville, Cleveland, and Summit

Associate members present: EMA, Forestry, Special Ops, BREMSS, Blount EMS, AL Fire College, VOAD

Associate Members not present: 911/Comms, STV-Blount, Law Enforcement, State FM Office, Coroner, Lifesaver, RAMS, Survival Flight, Red Cross, District Attorney.

 

Previous Meeting Minutes

Motion to Accept: Chief Payne – Allgood 

2nd Motion to Accept: Assistant Chief Peek – Straight Mountain  

Minutes were approved with no objections

 

Financial Reports

 EMT of the year Chapman was recognized and FF of the year Gibson was recognized.

 

 

Committee Reports

Chair’s Report

Truck Checkoffs and Financial Reports are due by the March meeting. 

Big Thank you to WBRC for featuring Blount County’s EMT and Firefighter of the year.

EMA

Fuelman Report - Our annual budget is $60,000. We have used $6,581 in December. 

Colbert County is hosting a ICE 300/400 class February 14th-18th in Tuscumbia.

Call volume was up the month of December

Cullman EMA is doing a ICS 300 class March 14-16th and a ICS 400 class March 17-18th 

If anyone is interested in Train the Trainers there has been an email sent out about this course.

911

911 is installing the new radio consoles. 

Let Neal know if you are not getting a 2 tone on your radios.

Training

Albertville Fire will be hosting a EMT class January 3rd through February 11th.

Rope I is March 7th-11th

Rope II is April 4th-6th. 

Oneonta will have the AFC props June 6th-15th

Fire Service Briefing is January 11th at 10AM 

Allgood Fire is hosting a Cert Program February 5th 

BREMSS

EMSA is still delayed 

Instructor courses are online

Con-ed is due by March 31st 

10th edition protocols are online

Blount EMS

EVOC refresher in February

Protocol update in March

Getting rid of some drugs that are not being used

Al Fire College

West Blount is doing a 160 class 

March 9th-13th is Alabama Fire College weekend

Individual Department Dashboard needs to be finished by each department 

VOAD

 Thanked everyone who helped with the Honor Flight

VOAD will be selling Raffle Tickets at the February Meeting 1 ticket for $5 or 3 tickets for $10

Jr. FF Camp

Vanesa will match up to $500 on personal donations to the camp

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1958 hours.
