• Representatives of each member department were accounted for: Bangor, Blount County Rescue Squad, Blountsville, Brooksville, Dallas/Selfville, Holly Springs, Locust Fork, Mount High, Murphree Valley, Nectar, Oneonta, Pine Mountain, Ricetown, Royal, Snead, Straight Mountain, Summit, Susan Moore.
• Associate members present: 911/Comms, Forestry, Special Ops, Blount EMS, and AL Fire College.

Old Business
• The Bylaws are still being worked on by Chief Reed.
• The committee met and discussed where to spend the money for Hazmat materials, and they opted to buy items such as oil dry, mats, plug indikes. They are still waiting on prices from vendors.
• Healthcare Authority money – this is due by May 31st, please get this spent.

Chair’s Report
• New Fire Chiefs are required to file an ethics report. The website was sent out on the Egroup, and is due April 30, 2021.
• Mike from ISO if you were inspected in 2015-2016 please expect a call from him.
EMA
• Fuelman Report - Our annual budget is $50,000. We have spent $23,998.98 so far.
• If anyone is interested in an ICS 300 or ICS 400 class get with Don, this would be a 3-day class.
911
• Motorola should have one if not both sites stood up by the end of the year.
• Working on getting a new text group with Verizon so Verizon carriers will still receive text messages.
Communications

Training
• EVD and Mobile water supply class in May.
• ICS 300&400 train the trainer – have approximately 7 people and need around 12 so if you are interested please get with Josh.

• Advanced EMT class will be July 1st through October 31st, the cost will be $700 this will include everything needed.

• 160 Class April 19th, the class will be online and you will go to the Alabama Fire College for your JPRs.

Jr. FF Camp
• The Jr. FF Camp will be held at Southeastern on June 8th-11th.
• St. Vincent’s Blount is sponsoring the tee shirts, snacks and sunscreen for the camp
NEW Business
• Blount County is getting stimulus money, there is approximately $40 or $50 million dollars coming to us. They are trying to use some of this money to help pay for the P25s.
• Ryan Vidischak spoke about the tornadoes coming through Shelby and Jefferson County, he reminded everyone to please check your homeowner’s insurance for tornado coverage.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2000 hours.
