•    Representatives of each member department: Allgood, Banger, Blount County Rescue Squad, Blountsville, Brooksville, Cleveland, Dallas/Selfville, Holly Springs, Locust Fork, Mt. High, Murphree Valley, Nectar, Oneonta, Pine Mountain, Remlap, Ricetown, Royal, Snead, Straight Mountain, Summit and West Blount.
•    Associate members present: EMA, 911/Comms, Forestry, Special Ops, BREMSS, Blount EMS, State Fire Marshall and RAMS.

Committee Reports Chair’s Report
•    Chairman Hill updated members about recent discussions with the Blount County HCA and run reports.
•    Chris detailed the recent AAC meeting concerning run numbers.
EMA

Report provided by Don Roybal, Blount County EMA Director:
•    Fuelman Report
•    September fuel expenses were at 66% of the monthly budget. Annual end of the year usage was approximately $46000, under the budgeted $50000 total. Keep reports coming to Ken @ EMA.
•    Need number of possible ICS 400 students to complete request to Alabama Fire College
•    4 departments received DHS grants.
911

Report provided by Neal Brooks, Blount County 911 Center Director:
•    Active 911 program training to be held 10/7 @ 911 or by weblink.
•    CAD vendor text messaging will stop per Verizon.
•    Neal is still negotiating with Motorola on P25 costs.
Communications
Report provided by Chris:

•    TANGO/TANGO costs are $1000 per year for one frequency up to 3 frequencies. There is a way to share costs across the county per Chief Dodson @ Bangor VFD or others.
Training

•    Check the website calendar for updated training information.
•    Station 84 started Block 4 of 160 in October

•    A long delay for a ground ambulance justifies “medical necessity” for air transport.

•    A nomination from the floor was received for EMT of the Year. Tommy Shellnut was nominated. A show of hands vote was taken for EMT of the Year with Tommy Shellnut receive the majority.
•    Floor nominations for all other officer slots were called for three separate times with motion to close nominations for each slot.
•    Blount County 911 nominated Communication Officer Andi Murphree as the Dispatcher of the Year.
 




NEW Business

•    Ryan Vidischak of Dry Tech reminded all about their policy that any displaced un-insured homeowner customer gets security personnel at their residence plus an overnight hotel stay during an event should they have to leave the residence.
